These past few months, I've had the opportunity to sit down and read for hours while on a road trip across western China with my mom. During that time, I've read a number of books which have left an indelible mark on the way I see topics such as the environment, consumerism, motherhood, aging, and addiction. I love love reading, but I love discussing books with other people and hearing their thoughts even more. I've listed the titles I've read below and hope you too can snatch a couple hours to yourself to really dive in deep and read to your heart's content!
1. Like a Mother: A Feminist Journey through the Science and Culture of Pregnancy by Angela Garbes
2. Drawdown: The Most Comprehensive Plan Ever Proposed to Reverse Global Warming edited by Paul Hawken
3. The Water Will Come: Rising Seas, Sinking Cities, and the Remaking of the Civilized World by Jeff Goodell
4. Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer
5. The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
6. This Changes Everything by Naomi Klein
7. No Logo: Taking Aim at the Brand Bullies by Naomi Klein
8. Irresistible: The Rise of Addictive Technology and the Business of Keeping Us Hooked by Adam Alter
9. Elderhood: Redefining Aging, Transforming Medicine, Reimagining Life by Louise Aronson
Enjoy!
